TARC (Toolkit for Anti-Racist Community)
This was work for a grant I received in the summer of 2020, when the protests against the protest brutality that killed Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. Overwhelmed with resources to educate oneself, my team and I wanted to create a single space where one could educate oneself not only on racism generally, but all its intersections, and from there take action. Inspired by the work of the Combahee River Collective, a Black Feminist group who coined the term “Intersectionality Politics”, we created a website that offers resources on racism in healthcare, the LGBTQIA+ community, the arts and the feminist movement. We plan to expand on these through submissions from the community as well as our own research, as we believe we need all perspectives in order to gain a full understanding of racism.
